Bayou Classic® Toasty Apple Delights

Warm, cinnamon-spiced fruit wrapped in golden tortillas and drenched in a rich, buttery syrup—perfect for a cozy dessert or sweet breakfast treat.

Makes 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 6 flour tortillas (6–8 inch size)
  • 2 cups apple pie filling (or diced cooked apples)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (plus more for topping)
  • ½ cup white sugar ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup margarine (or butter), cut into pieces 
  • Bayou Classic® 9 x 13-in Cast Iron Rectangular Pan

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Evenly spoon apple filling across the center of each tortilla. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Roll up each tortilla tightly and place seam side down in a lightly greased 8x8-inch baking dish.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine white sugar, brown sugar, water, and margarine. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer. Stir constantly for 3 minutes until well blended and slightly thickened.
  4. Pour the warm sauce evenly over the rolled tortillas. Sprinkle extra cinnamon over the top to taste.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
