The stainless steel backplate and brass fitting will not rust, but residue and insects can clog the system and hinder the function of our high-performance deep fryers.  This item is available as a replacement as needed. It also comes with mounting hardware. Note: For long term storage, it is recommended to cover your Bayou® Fryer with a full-length cover.
